International Schools Athletic Conference is also known as the ISAC. These sports competitions are held every year. I joined the Long Jump under 11 and 100m and 200m sprint as grade 6, the youngest.

First, I prepared for the long jump, which I was pretty confident in. I had always been one of the best jumpers in the grade. Every time we measured our long jump during the physical checkup, I would jump the furthest. My classmates would always gather around to watch me jump and when I did, they would pat me on my back or give me a high five, telling me what a great jumper I was.

I walked to the start line, shaking my arms and legs for the last time. I ran down the track and at the edge of the sand, I jumped, swinging my legs forward. I flew across the sky landing thankfully on my two feet. I knew I had done well by the cheers from the crowd. The next thing I knew, I was holding my 2nd place medal in my hands.

But that wasn't all. I had prepared also for the 100m and 200m sprints. Although I did pretty well in P.E. class, I had never competed like this against others so I wasn't sure how well I would do. I put my feet up against the starting blocks, positioning my fingers so they were spread out, keeping me balanced. I arched my back, ready for the sound of the whistle.

The whistle blew and the flag went down. I sprinted, eyes set on the finish line. I pumped my legs and arms and ran as fast as I could. And I made it to the finish line, not knowing the results. I looked up to see my coach and track and field team running up to me, smiles on their faces, congratulating me. I had won.

The same miracle happened once more during the 200m sprint. I had two big medals on my neck. It was amazing. I didn't know I would do this well.

I couldn't help but smile and wave my medals around.

It was the best feeling ever!
