JV Basketball

You gotta get your get your head in the game~

It's the music that automatically plays in my head as I play basketball.

For some time, the ideal image of a basketball player I had was, quite unfortunately, Troy Bolton from High School Musical. I had watched this highly fantasized musical movie back when I was in Kindergarten. I guess you could say I didn't know any better.

Of course, as I grew older, I learned better. There were so many amazing basketball players like Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, and Lebron James. As I watched the NBA at home and saw the basketball players make their shots, I began practicing at home. With my baby basketball net in our living room, I would run out of my room pretending to dribble ( I was still a little too young to dribble properly), running across the kitchen to the end of the living room and - swish - the ball would fall in the net cleanly.

With my history with basketball, I decided to try out for basketball as soon as basketball season started in high school (2020 - 2021). Not too surprisingly, I successfully made it onto the JV team.

I also tried out for basketball season again this year (2021-2022). I was once again on the JV team.

I hope to improve my skills and be on the varsity team next year.
